the plaza.

All ecstatic after meeting the wedding planner.

I just caught Bride Wars in the cinema yesterday and I'm loving it. Well in short, it evolves around two best friends (Anne Hathaway & Kate Hudson) who after many years, start noticing their differences and finally in the end, realize that they can't live without each other because similarly they share almost everything together :) I really really enjoyed the movie and perhaps, I'm gonna catch it again! After all, it does involve weddings too, so count me in! *grin* Pretty much my cuppa ;)

A random question: If they have The Plaza, what do we, Malaysians have?

Anyhoo, I just got back from Baskins and I've got three quarts in my fridge yo, haha. Though I'm pretty upset that they didn't have Very Berry Strawberry. It's been two whole months without that flavor now! :(

Hear me out: Love Story by Taylor Swift.
p/s: This song is absolute love. :)

choinese new year.

A friend used to scream his head out saying, "Choineseeeee". Well, that was some 5 years back in highschool? Brrh I feel old, haha.

"Pikchaa, pikchaa!" My aunts are ace at screaming that word out while gambling, hah. As I mentioned in the earlier post about having heaps of pictures taken this new year, I'll be faithful to pick out shot(s) that I think are pretty enough to be posted here and the rest will, as usual, be up in Facebook for my cousins' benefit. This year, family ties seem a little more huddled up together and toight unlike the years before - I'm enjoyin' it, most definitely!

I've been sticking myself to the computer screen watching the new 90210 almost every day now, haha! Hmm, it seems to be trashing Gossip Girl a wee bit in my download sequence. Well maybe because I downloaded the wrong episode 16 this time around which totally dampened my spirit, pfft. Anyhoo, 90210 on the go!

Itsy bitsy thing about 90210 - the girls seem a little too anorexic for my liking and I sense a bit of The O.C. rip off going on somewhere along the episodes, hmm. But I'm definitely a fan of Silver's, I like the rough touch to her personality and plus, she's really pretty. Ethan's pretty attractive too (think geeky/nerdy Seth Cohen, yes?)! Honestly, come to think about it, I'm starting to not like the whole highschool scene anymore be it in The O.C., GG or even 90210.

Goodnight world, taa!

if only.

Our very early Yee Sang, pre-CNY.
But also, our very first Yee Sang together.

And if only we had something like that, this year :)

posaa in the house.

Somehow both my niece and nephew, Julieann & Jamie, seem to be rather hyper active than usual this new year. With my camera phone in hand, I couldn't help but to snap away at their adorable gestures and poses that were being thrown about. This year, things seem more lively than normal, which is of course, a very good thing! The UK cousin is finally back, bringing all that joker-self and hype home. Yes, he is the cousin who drew moustache on cats & dogs with a permanent marker pen some 10 years back and also the one who makes both cats and dogs dance and act out silly things, haha.

Out of the many pictures that were taken, I shall just share a little collage of my nephew :)

When Jamie meets the Bearista;

Ain't he the most adorable sweetie? :)
Note: He's such a posaaa!
He'll check the photo after taking one and see if it's nice, haha.
And will go back and pose again..

the first twenty.

Blessed Twentieth Hatchday, Love!

I know you're not gonna be fond of celebrating this birthday
since you're finally hitting the twenties
but hee, Happy Twentieth!
I hope you have a blast all the way in Seattle
even if I'm not there ;) I'm actually quite
bummed out that I can't celebrate it with you
but still, do enjoy it!
You're only gonna be twenty once.
You've been more than amazing
throughout our whole friendship, best friend.
Words really can't describe how thankful I am
for you in my life :) Just so you know,
You play an outstandingly important role
in this life of mine, really!
I love you and once again,
have a blessed birthday girl!

Handmade with love!

xoxo.

braces.

The four of us, well it's actually five but yeah, we were the black sheep, hee! We were the naughty ones who sat at the back of the class, making heaps of noise and of course, we never completed our homework. *grin* But, we were always the first to go for additional classes, haha! How ironic, yes? Two years of braving Math and another two years of the horrible Add Math, and only because we aced our Modern Math ;)

Confession: I only looked forward to classes because of them! And food? Hehehe.

We did everything in class, haha. Anything, just name it! I would actually let you know what we did but on second thought, it's okay la ;) Anyhow, I finally met them after some years! We didn't change much but Hann got thinner and has braces even if he already had perfect teeth! (reason for braces: it's a family thing), Jayson got buffer (cough!), Seira lost weight (though she's not admitting)! and I lost weight too? Haha, this is what two years (or more?) can do to us! But deep down, we're all pretty much the same whacko bunch. Was really good catching up! :) It was like only yesterday we had tuition class together, I do miss those days man. Hmm.

Just so he doesn't feel left out ;)
Yeah, we had this animal thingy going on, haha!
Though it was like back in '06.

Take one!

Take two!

through a kaleidoscope.

Spoilers ahead! Just so I won't leak out things you ought to find out yourself in episode 15! :) Else, heck it, just read away! Lalala.

I just caught the latest episode of Gossip Girl and my heart is broken. Having step foot in Blair's shoes throughout the series has definitely made me feel the pain and hurt Chuck has put her through. The blame was always on her for acting like the wife. Chuck is one massive heart breaker. It all finally exploded when the episode drew to a close when she told him that she's gonna be leaving him. For real.

And I realized, he'd only go back to her when he's got no where else to go and no one to turn to. If not, he'd push her aside and constantly treat her like trash. This is what you get for not appreciating her enough. The girl has a heart alright! Pfft. The I-don't-need-you-anymore scene was pretty good (especially when she threw the pretty flowers back at him) and very emotional, heh. My heart was forced to a halt, imagine that.

Standing up for her guy.

By the way, Jack Bass (Jackass?) is really a pain. I mean, seriously! Get rid of him already, rawwr. His face only spells out annoying and irritating. If that isn't so, I don't know what I'm seeing. Heh.

The love story of Rufus & Lily's getting very complicated (Or pathetic?). I mean, the missing kiddo and all. Ah not forgetting how their child's death is all a lie. I guess it's pretty understandable but it is still a horrible thing to do. On the other side of the family, Dan & Serena are acting pretty cool about it, and so are Jenny & Eric. Both Rufus & Lily came back home with hands held tight to each other. Family reunion perhaps? I do wonder how this family issue is gonna be sorted out :) Surprise, surprise!

speediinho.

Yeah, that's what we know him as :)

Again, I stepped foot in the airport. This time was for Jon and sadly, I missed Azy just by a call, soigh. Was pretty bummed out 'cos well, he left to California. Haha, I love California and Jon's a close friend. Hmm, guess I'm happy for him :) ..with much envy too, hee! Nah, really. He's such a clown and at the same time, a pain in the butt. But yea, he's a really good friend - one of the few whom I still look up to and know that he's not the lalang material :) He's just Jon. Ah, another thing, he amazes me with his unfailing love for skinnies, haha! :O

Don't shed tears unless there's a valid reason to do so.

The six of us who went over to send him off were pretty much controlling our emotions knowing that it's gonna be their turn next.  Well, obviously not mine but yeah, the 5 others. It's sad having to part from a bunch of friends who eventually grew very much closer through the years. Plus, knowing that there are a few more closer ones who are leaving at about the same time as well - February, makes it all the more worst.

Memories just keep flickering around and I can't help but to ponder and take a breeze walk through memory lane once again. It's indeed a fact that I've become very closely knitted to my ADP friends. The first bunch of people I got to know in the first sem of college itself. And that changed everything, until this very day. It's not easy seeing them off. Not at all.

unscrewed.

So like any other HELP student, I finally got all my results back. I'm not screaming for joy and neither am I ranting simply because God has definitely blessed me with good enough results. I was already expecting to fail, that's why I didn't enrol as yet but yeah. I'm more than sure that I totally screwed up my last paper which so happen was on the first day of Youth Camp but I didn't fail! Huhaa!

I'm just more than thankful, hee! Uh-huh, I'm giving God all, absolutely all the glory for my results! :)

Here's to the second semester of my uni life. *sigh* A long way more to go. But yeah, this sem doesn't seem too stressful but definitely consumes heaps of energy and commitment. Haha, that doesn't sound too easy anymore, innit? This sem, yet again, I face a lecturer of whom, I'm not particularly fond of, heh. I hope things will be alright for me, haha, 'cos it didn't go too well in the previous sem :p

Anyhow, haha! Yayy for my results! And yes I have finally decided on my minor, hee. Yea, like finally. I'm gonna be minoring in Marketing :)

I can have a good night's rest now! *grin* Oh and another thing, I might be getting a new puppy soon! A whoite one :D Hee, so so cuteeeee! Gaahhh, hehehe. And yes, I have finally recovered from all the sick bug, haha. Normal voice is back in the vocal chords yo ;) Okay, goodnight!

hit it, letter j.

Ahoy! I got my letter from Peachy :)
And it's the letter J!

The rules:

You leave a comment on this post, and I'll assign you a letter. You write about ten things you love that begin with your assigned letter, and post it at your place. When people comment on your list, you give them a letter, and the chain continues on and on.

~

1. Jan. He keeps me sane and makes my world a better place to live in. Pretty much the best thing that has ever happened! :)

2. Jooze. Only because it's something between my girls and I! ;)

3. Jazz. I lovelove Jazz. Anytime, anywhere, just hit it on the speakers aight! Especially when it comes to Michael Buble! Hohoho! *grin*

4. Jenga. It's such fun playing with a good company. The risk of taking every piece out and the joy of seeing it crumble down, haha!

5. Java Chip Frap. Who doesn't know I'm a coffee addict? What more, a Starbucks fan? Haha. It's a really good drink, babe. Trust me on this :)

6. Jet plane. Yeah, it's the ticket out of here. Pretty much so actually. Buy a ticket, get on the plane and off you go!

7. Jello. It's so wobbly, soft, kinda chewy and sometimes filled with surprising goodness in 'em! All that Nata de Coco bits, hee :D

8. Jackfruit. Haha I seem to be going all about food, no? Hehehe, I do enjoy this fruit :) It's yellow and yummy! Hah!

9. Jogging. It makes me feel much more healthier, hee :P It's like I jog 10 rounds and I'm convinced I've lost enough of weight for the year, haha. But yea, jogging is love when you jog with fun people ;) Heh heh heh! Likeee, Jan! Haha. No, really. :)

10. Jamoca Almond Fudge. Baskin Robbins anyone? It's so delicious :) Somewhat like love at first sight, hehe.

It was quite a tough one but I pretty much pulled it off, haha! I'm that bored and jobless so yeah. After all, classes just started and I'm left with that little bit of spare time so why not! :)

and we're dancing.

"Cause it feels alright! Yeah, we're dancing!"

Awesomeeee!

I decided to watch Centre Stage today, hee. I seem to be on some movie marathon but nah, I'm not. Alright, maybe just a little. But hey, this movie totally rocks socks okay. It's an amazing movie with awesome ballet. Absolutely loved the choreography and especially their final performance on stage. Seriously! I'm a sucker for dance shows alright. I'm sure you are too! ;) Hmm, it's just pure awesome. Go have a watch if you haven't!

Lalala, okay, I should so be sleeping now, hehe.

sporadic.

Being me, as sporadic as can be;

favorite picture.
He says it's like Beauty and The Beast, haha.
But I think not :)

~

I finally caught two movies - Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging and The Duchess, in a span of two days. Well of course, cinema at home :) Loved The Duchess much more as compared to Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging. If you haven't already seen The Duchess, do watch it, 'cos it's good stuff aight.

Loved this outfit!
And many more dresses..

The movie brings us back to the 18th century. You know, all those pretty feather hats and dresses? Yea, I loved them both. But basically it's about the conquest for true love and how the Duke of Devonshire was being totally unfaithful and unreasonable to his new wife, The Duchess of Devonshire as played by Keira Knightley. Also not forgetting, the painful love triangle between the two and Lady Bess Foster, The Duchess' best friend and only source of comfort. As the movie drew to a close where The Duchess had to give her baby daughter away who resulted from her affair with Charles Grey. It was a heart-wrenching scene as separating a mother from her child is definitely any mom's worst nightmare. Am not really a fan of Keira Knightley but nonetheless, the movie was good. Honestly I really thank God that we're no longer living in those olden days where giving birth to a son is of utmost importance and having a baby daughter is shameful and the likes of it. Heh.

Am off to class soonish! :) And yay, my normal voice is coming back alreaaady!

Tuesday, January 6, 2009

it's a girl thing.

Today in history, we learn that even I can lose my voice, hah! Can you beat that? It hurts btw so yeah, pfft. Sadly it has been getting worst by the day. Too pain, too pain.

Okay anyway, for the past two days, I've been spending much time with my girls :) I mean after all, they deserve my time since they're all gonna be leaving soon enough.

Rewind, rewind, to Sunday evening! We had dinner at Mohan's place since she's leaving tonight and yeah, we just needed to spend some time together, girly time. Initially thought of eating out but finally resorted to cooking in. We picked out nuggets, sausages, fries, pasta and bacon! The oil and the carbs, haha. Then again, the best tasting food are always sinful; all that oil, fats (bacon fats, yumm!), sugar and it just goes on. It's all fat-provoking food, haha. We obviously found out who the cooks were and who weren't, ahaks! *grin* But the food were really good, hee! Though we kinda over-estimated the food amount. :p Having food over bonding time was plain awesome alright!

Non cooks: Lyds & Azy.
Cooks: Mohan & Sarah.
Haha, but they helped out a lot!
Like defrosting the nuggets..
And dropping the spaghetti :D

Yay, pretty! :)

And hohoho, Monday's bubble fun! Headed over to The Curve after lunch to meet up with Sara, Alexa and Rachel. To my surprise, Daryll was there too, haha. Not so much of a girl thing anymore, huh? ;) We pretty much stocked up on some bottles of bubble liquid as well as a whole box of that goo thingy that you can blow up your own bubble through the little straw. Reminiscing the childhood days much? We went up to the rooftop of Cineleisure to play bubbles. Yeah, we got a few glares and stares but it didn't really bug us much :) It was fun, really fun. We even had some Titanic moments there, hee. A little late lunch after and that pretty much concluded our day. There are more pics but my dear Alexa hasn't sent 'em over yet :)

Its like a disco ball :)

Sara being.. Sara.

The NYC laydee! :)
Random bit: I'm so gonna get an INY shirt, haha.

Bubbles! Just keep blowing!

Can you see 'em? 8)

Broadway style!
And I am wearing shorts. There! *points*

Camel!

Hehehehe ;)

Just today, Azalea, Lyds and myself went to Sungai Wang to do some shopping but depressingly, we found nothing. Okay I found a dress but I guess it wasn't really a good buy so yeah I didn't get it. But Lyds got a pair of pretty ballet flats :) Really pretty! Hee. Ah, not forgetting, we went on a DVD shopping spree, haha. Now I've stocked up on the movies to watch when the assignments hasn't kicked in yet. Hehe.

Oh, I got like two results back 'cos the other three are only coming out on Monday, pfft. I guess it's average, heh. Not good at all but just satisfactory. :) Though this makes me worry all the more for my other three papers, ahhhh! It was that bad okay, soigh.

Ozzie cousins just left for home. Gonna miss the noise and stuff but yeah, we've got Facebook, haha! Ain't that bad I guess :) Real good to have 'em back! Anyway, I gotta head to bed now, goodnight all!

p/s: Bye Mohannnnn! Will miss you hun :)

on the balcony.

Hmm, I'm having an uber difficult time trying to start this post off so just let your imaginations run wild. Okay, not wild per se but yeah, let your mind spark things off!

Four words: Beauty and The Beast.

Since young, I've always loved this Disney movie because it's just so good. Albeit all Disney movies are good but I particularly love this the most! Yeah, it beats Cinderella, Snow White and the likes of it. Hmm, I like Aladdin too, hee. Okay, Imma fan of all of them, Disney movies, but yeah, haha. Well, I just love the story of Beauty and The Beast. I used to watch the tape over and over again. Now this doesn't include the many times I read the book, hee! I tell you, countless I say!

For some months, I've been searching around for the DVD desperately and finally resorted to downloading it, haha. Well, I wanted the DVD just so I'll have a physical copy instead of having to wait for the download to be completed. You know how terrible our internet connection can be right?

Anyhoo, I finally got to watch it after being able to complete the download *beams*  It was good, really good :) I enjoyed every single part of it. I'm telling you, Chip (the teacup) has always been my favorite! He's so adorable and just too cute. Well right up till today, I'm still loving this Disney movie muchs, hee. There's a few scenes that I absolutely love though - Belle's first dance with the Beast; the balcony scene right after that dance; the scene where the Beast reaches out to Belle's hand after the fight with Gustav on the roof. Too good, too good. It's so sweet and just romantic? Well, you get the gist :) However in today's context, I lovelove Enchanted. Period.

This reminds me - need.to.buy.enchanted.dvd.too. *grin*

See! Hmm :)

Hehe I guess that's all for now! Updates about bubbly fun and girly outings soon (tomorrow?), heh. Nights all! :)

saturday night.

And I wonder why I'm up this late on a Saturday night.
Oh oops, it's Sunday already..

At times like these;
I wonder if I've got feelings..
I wonder if I've got a heart..

'Nuff said..

up that windy road.

I'm back with yet, another post, and am still sick. In Lyd's words, it's prolly SARS or Bird Flu. Hee, I kid I kid. I've been receiving free lunch deliveries from him since yesterday because I'm sick :D How sweet and thoughtful, no? Well I'm hoping to get better by the weekend before classes start all over again.

On Monday, I headed up to Genting with a bunch of totally impromptu souls. I got a wake up call at about eleven in the morning to head up to Genting. Too bad, Jan couldn't make it, pfft. But anyhow, as broke as we were, we packed some chap fan and Starbucks to accompany us throughout. :) The absence of Starbucks on any trip is like spending a day in doomsville, alright! Hee, I might just be exaggerating a little but you get my point! Further excitement kicked in all the more when we were heading up the windy roads. Only these souls know how much I was giggling all the way up, hah!

With them - the impromptu souls.

We walked and walked and finally ended up in the Snow World. Yet again, my very first time me thinks. Since Kat and I had our flops on, we were given damp and icy cold boots to cover our feet with. It was really a do or die situation so we had to reluctantly slide our feet in 'em. It was disgusting alright. Brrh. Only God knows all the feet that has been in 'em, heh. Anyhoo, right after that we walked a bit and decided to head back home. After that was just random dinner time at Talipon. Man, I miss the Hot Pot days :)

Aight, gotta get back to resting! Sick girl reporting for duty (sleep). Hee :)

p/s: the rest of the pictures are up in Facebook.

2009: a year of faith.

And coincidentally I fell sick on New Years Day. What a way to celebrate the New Year huh?

This year, I made absolutely no resolutions. I wasn't happy that 2009 arrived too early because I was dreading the fact that I'll prolly have to face many more things that don't seem too easy to go through.

Right after Watchnight Service, Jan and I headed back home after a long day out. Upon arrival at my home, we sat in the car and he started to knock more sense into this stubborn head of mine. I was being bitter about 2009 and was on the verge of giving up all over again. It's funny how I always thought that it was only me, myself and I who was going through this mess with that bit of support from the people around me. But I came to my senses and realized that they're going through it with me, or at least he is. :)

I guess that I could mainly thank God for the friends and amazing people whom He has placed around and in my life for the whole of 2008. All in all, I guess it was quite a good year considering everything that has happened and how things beautifully unfolded before my eyes towards the end of 2008.

Jan has been an absolutely sweet and amazing backbone of mine throughout everything, from the start right up till today; Azalea, Mohan and Lydia have constantly had my back even when they were miles away from home with all that oveaseas calls, text messages and lovely emails to keep me from falling; Sara, Alexa and Rachel who always fed me with laughter and total randomness just to make sure there's always a smile on my face; and trust me, there are many more to list down but yeah :) Just to list a few more without elaborating - Tabster, Ian, Josh Teng, Arthur, Yih Khai, hmm they're all lovely people! They have been such sweet peas throughout this year in some way or another. What would I ever do without you peeps? Soigh. :)

Such angels :)

Amazing babes.
Btw, we need to retake a new pic since Rachel is back! :)

In a nutshell, I'm greeting this new year, 2009, with a whole bunch of faith ready to back me up! God has been downright amazing in so many ways that I can't even keep track of. He has never let me go but instead, has always welcomed me back into His open arms of everlasting love. I would've never made it till today without God, my family and the rest of the aforementioned people.

Thank You Jesus for 2008.
And a whole bundle of thanks
to the splendid friends of mine too!
Walk with me through 2009, won't You?
:)
