take a wild guess.

Some take eight months;
I take.. years?

Confused bits keep running all over.
Maybe it'll never happen.

Words that were uttered some time ago by yours truly;
Should they be kept or thrown away?
Guess we'll just never know..

come and go.

Youth Camp 2008: This Is Now.

I went to camp expecting God to move and sure enough He did - more than I expected. I guess He really made clear about the direction I'm heading towards in 2009. Initially it wasn't and isn't what I intended it to be but at times like these, you just need to shut up and follow His footsteps obediently, ain't it? I never prayed as much as I did in camp before. I never seeked God like how I did in camp. It was just different. I was never this hungry for His touch. In this camp, I experienced it all. God was extremely real in my life. Throughout camp, He taught me one thing and that is to continue persevering even when things get ugly. I mean life hasn't been easy for me since the start of this year and I gotta admit, I'm getting goosebumps just by thinking about how next year is gonna go but I believe it's all gonna be alright with God on my side. Happy thoughts ahead!

It was a totally different experience this year for me in camp as well. I mean assuming various responsibilities and ensuring that camp goes along well isn't easy and very tiring. It was totally worrysome when the number of campers weren't touching 250 at all. This is just one of the aspects but yeah, I know that God worked wonders in this year's camp and I'm absolutely certain that all who went were tremendously blessed!

On a lighter note, experiencing camp with loved ones are total plus points. I mean having all my favorite girlfriends back from overseas has continuously lifted up my dampened spirit. They have been nothing short of gorgeous blessings. It was even better when the seven of us were somewhat 'reunited' after a long break on the second night of camp! Sweet love, huns.

Peanut butter-fied.

Heee!

:)

Lovelies!

Candid laughter.

Taraaaa!

We cool alright.

Whoooosh!

Doong is love!

We're at the beaaach!

And here we move on to family love! My Ozzie cousins have finally came back after two solid years of absence. Just in two years, they have both grown up so big (like literally big) and seriously, so matured! I mean they were mere little kiddos before this and now, woah! Hee, I was very shocked. I guess I'm no longer the taller cousin in my generation just because they're still young but yeah, haha. Darn, why didn't I get these tall genes? Pfft. Albeit awkward on the first day of their arrival (yesterday), we got on well this morning and hey, more days ahead to rekindle that cousin love.

Well we celebrated Christmas early this year because many of them couldn't make it on Christmas day itself so dinner was today. My aunt got us turkey! It's a first in our family to have turkey, seriously! Turkey and tong yuen (since the celebration was just 2 days ago)! Hehehe, yummy flour-y dessert by the grandmother. Seeing all the kiddos grow up, I feel rather old myself! Haha.

Nephew & Uncle.

Sulky pot.
Reason: Ate too much and mommy took his food away.

Emma!

Two partially complete generations.

And yay, I'm done with my Christmas shopping, haha. But it's a very tiny list this year due to financial constrains and the current economy crisis. I'm serious, it's that bad on me okay. So yeah, don't expect anything much from me or rather anything at all, heh. I'm keeping muh budget minimal this year so don't get offended anyhow :) But yeah, Christmas isn't all about presents, hee :)

Wondering how did The Fleur De Lis go? :) I think it went well. I mean yeah from a shopper's view, hee. I splurged my way throughout the three days and hehe, I'm pretty satisfied with my purchases! :D Absolutely loving my new found clothes, wahahah. But on the other hand, from an organizer's view, some vendors or rather, a vendor can really be downright stupid. Seriously, pfft! At least my clothes make me happy so it's all good, thankfully! Hee *grin*

We both look really chan and tired out huh.

Anyways, here's some belated shout-outs! -

Blessed Nineteenth Birthday, Johann!

Excuse me mister, we still haven't gone out yet!
What happened to all our catching up sessions huh?
Hehe. I tried calling you yesterday but I couldn't get
through at all. Really! It's not an excuse alright, hee.
Hope you had a blast on your special day :)
Don't get too naughty alright, do keep some sanity in
that now nineteen year old head of yours *grin*

::

Blessed TWENTY-SECOND Birthday, Brian!

Notice the emphasis on the age? Hehe. I kid I kid.
I'm still all fondue-fied from the lunch but hey it was
all good! I'm sure you had much fun, no? :) Thanks
for being that whacko friend throughout, hee.
Anyhow, here's to a great year ahead of you!
Big boy ady la, hahah. Happy Hatchday again!
Twenty-two! *cough* Heee!

last hurdle.

Finally after going through some weeks of agonizing exam stress, I'll be over and done with it tomorrow at 2pm and right on to youth camp! :)

The fact that we haven't had camp for two years makes all the difference there is. In the past two years and even more, things have changed so much. I changed. I practically took a 180 degree turn. Two years ago and today, I wasn't the same. I was different. My purpose of going to camp was different. My focus was different. My life was different. Life's circumstances were so different. This year's camp is gonna be different. I just know it. And let's make that difference in our life, through this camp and what's installed for us. Make this camp a significant one. Don't let it just waste away.

Honestly I'm scared but I guess I'm ready. It's a mish-mash feeling inside of me - trembling, tears, joy?

On a lighter note, I'm glad I'm gonna be in camp with my favorite girls! All finally back from overseas, it's sucha good feeling to have all of them, babes, back with me. Truly feels like real home now :) What would I do without them anyway? Hee ;)

Eyes on New York, baby!
Fly me there, anyone?
Cos I really wanna. Really!

three words.

I love you.

She finally said it but it wasn't a pretty reply from Chuck. Will Chuck really commit suicide? Episode 13 was a really good one. Heart-wrenching and totally got me wanting to jump onto the next episode. Too bad this is it for 2008, pfft. Sucha good ep, really. Ended in cliffhanger style - I've got a love-hate feeling towards such endings;

So tell me, is it a boy or a girl?

Gan jiong much?

I guess we'll have to wait till January 5th to find out more because they're on a short holiday. Gosh, why the long wait? :( In the mean time, a little snippet;

there she goes.

Hohoho, to all the girls who are somewhat like me - shopaholics by nature, we scurry to any sale, browse through dozens of boutiques online and still end up unsatisfied, this is what you should be treating yourself to! :) It's like having the online boutiques come to live, hehehe. Besides you're able to see and feel them, clothes, instead of having to riskily decide through the computer screen with squinted eyes! I should know, haha. Sinful temptations, indeed. Ain't retail therapy the most (at least one of the most) amazing things in life? Haha!

And we all know, their pricings aren't rocket high so I guess it's pretty good on the pocket, don't ya think? I know I'm excited! *grin* Just imagine all the clothes, accessories and shoes available in abundance. Hee ;) Just make sure you keep these dates free and treat yourself before the year ends. Click HERE & HERE for more details and information :) Trust me, it'll be fantabulous. Seriously!

~

Bring it on and come what may? Finals are on Tuesday and it lingers on till the following Monday. Part of me says I'm ready and the other says I'm not at all. We'll see how it goes soon enough!

And yay, Azy & Lyds are coming back by this weekend. Oh, the loveeeee! :)

snowflakes.

"Mom, what's wrong?"
"Bart's been in an accident."

There you have it! A welcoming note to what's installed in the next episode of GG - Just as predicted, no? Vanessa and Nate kicks it off towards the end of the episode and I'm not happy. Why why why!

At least on a happier note, Rufus and Lily has kinda got it going on. Let's just wait till the post-funeral period, hee. :) Sparks would definitely fly sky high, hohoho! Hmm, Serena and Dan with their plus ones and the whole string of their past really annoys me. Get over and done with it, please? They just keep going on and on and on, rawwr. Blair and Chuck never fails to make me happy, haha. More than glad they had their dance in the end :)

Loved the setting of the Snowflake Ball. Really pretty and romantic! Hahaha, but yeah. Pretty much! And randomly, I want a disco ball in my room, hehehe!

glossy edge.

I know I've mentioned how much I'm eyeing the Sony Ericsson C902 but guess what? I spotted another love - Nokia N85. Hohoho, it's sexy alright. I'm actually torn between the two because both have what I want; Everything else and a 5mp camera phone. Hee! However the N85 design caught my attention 'cos it's just too sleek, smooth and just.. sexay. Haha, it really is! And it's a slide phone - something that I've been looking for!

I love this too.

On the flipside, the N85 is two times more expensive than the C902! Also, thinking about the interface and stuff, I actually prefer Sony Ericsson as compared to Nokia. But its so pretty! How?

Allow me to be a girl -
  1. Size - both are slim and small. N85 is shorter by about 2cm where as C902 is rather long. C902 is thinner and the N85 is wider.
  2. Color - both come in the classy all-timer black which I absolutely love. :) Black colored phones rule big time. But the N85's black is more glossy compared to the C902, which I like. Very much.
  3. Design - N85 is more feiminine while the C902 leans towards the masculine side. Think James Bond. Yeah, James Bond. But I think I'm well-suited for the N85 more! Hee.
  4. Specs - N85 has wifi access, GPS, bla bla bla and C902 doesn't (a minor upgrade to my K800i). Hah! But the most important thing is the camera; both are 5mp (which happens to be the most important to me).
I'm not some mobile phone expert but these are what grabs my attention when it comes to picking a cell phone! Again, how?

I know I really should be studying but yeah, boo. Uhm, hmm, hmm.

a familar stranger.

............S: Don't be a stranger.
............D: I'm a star. You may not see me, but I'm always there.

Not the normal conversation and definitely not the answer sought for but it is as interesting as it gets. It's funny how time passes by so fast and the most familiar faces are close to invisible. The ties that once binded, are the ones that loosen up. When knitted together once again, it is as though stepping out into a new dimension, with familiarity being the ultimate tour guide.

circus.

Not really a fan of the cover though.

Today marks the release of Britney's new album - Circus. Hehe! Well to be frank, I've loved Britney ever since I was 11 or 12? Hee, she was that awesome and somehow she got a little too screwed up for my liking in the later years - the shaving of her head and stuff. But now she's sorting out all the pieces and has released her new album today - her 27th birthday! :) Honestly, I am happy for her and her improvements. Let's just say, Imma' fan of Britney. Hee ;) I might just get my hands on her new album, haha! Well that is if they're gonna be featuring her ol' school hits, hehe.

Some days ago I was looking through some old pictures and guess what I stumbled on? Some moments captured four years ago! This should instill some laughter and giggles, hee.

Let's back track to April 2004 and this is what you get -

Rings any bell, peeps?

Now?

Wahaha.

HAHAHAHA.
We should prolly retake one this year.
It'll be fun to see how much
we've all changed, hah!

a red christmas.

I stepped into the mall and its Christmas decorations greeted me. Christmas songs were played throughout and it just sparked a smile on my face. I love Christmas time :) Christmas-y thoughts and memories just flooded my mind as I walked through. Ah, love it. Simply gotta love it!

There's this seven feet tall Christmas tree at home and it's kinda waiting for me to set it up but, seven feet! It's too much work. We'll see about that soonish - after my finals? Hee.

On the contrary, I love setting up Christmas trees! Of course it'll be awesome with company but yeah, hehe. You get a sense of accomplishment once you see the tree all beautifully decorated without any flaws. And at night when the lights and ornaments sparkle and light up, oooh, sweet! :) Hehehe. I do remember painting ornaments and setting up Azy's Christmas tree in 2006! Also at Ian's, I remember being swooned by his blue & silver Christmas tree in 2005 :) Really pretty! I couldn't help but gaze into it the entire night/morning. Setting a color theme for the tree (ornaments) is nothing but pure fun. I want a red Christmas this year! I had a gold one in 2006 and silver in 2007. Yup, red would be gorgeous! Hmm, I loiike.

I have officially tried and kinda started reading through my lecture notes. Big progress. I kid you not! Well it's just reading, not studying. Yeah do note the difference. I'll keep trying, and I always say that so haha. :)
