omg, how can ms.nurtina be so mean? she's gonna be testing us on citations. how to memorize the whole MLA format on citing sources? a whole section on citations. gotta be kidding me big time. gosh. at least i know im not the only one to express my frustration on the EN102 paper. oh bother!

well, i woke up this morning and kinda panicked if everything was gonna go fine for the cooking competition. however i knew it would turn out fine, was just wondering how the response would be like- maybe the participants won't turn up! or we wont have enough of stoves or gas or whatever else. anyways, everyone was supposed to reach coll at 9a.m. since the comp was to start at 10a.m.

i was late, cos there was another road block at the sprint highway. and then to get a call from kahar, saying that he just woke up. thank God for the other punctual group mates who were there since 8 plus :D hehe. anyways, we reached there and continued to set up the place. we looked like some pathetic ppl setting up stoves and food stuff in front of kpd A. hahah.

the earliest contestant, marcus, came really early! and he was sweet enough to help us to set up. it was almost ten, and only 2 contestants were present- marcus and william. tarra was on her way, kahar was no where to be seen and david couldn't be reached. so yea, after sorting out things, we started the comp at 10.15 i think :)

marcus and william were like pros i tell you. ahaha. even i envied them. heh. kahar was pretty hillarious and naveen helped him, along with cj. hahha. their group started out quite sesat-ed but they bucked up in the end :) haha. tarra was super quiet, concentrating on her super spicy fried rice. david, who came 30 mins late, cooked for his very first time! haahah. watching him cook was really funny. hahahah. he cooked everything upside down- not the normal sequence of cooking. a few of us decided to help david in the end. haha.

anyways, after cooking the fried rice, they had to fry papadam. it was so cute! they were small ones. hahah. and tasted equally good. hrmm :) when the cooking session was done, we placed the food on the centre table and started to feast :D loved marcus's one. he added cheese and pineapples. cheese! its yummy i tell you. william and kahar's one tasted almost the same. tarra's one was the spicy-est!

so, marcus won first and tarra came in second :) we even gave the guards to eat the fried rice since they were very friendly and supportive throughout the comp :)

so the cooking competition is tmrw! im nervous, like seriously. what if it doesnt work out the way i imagined or wanted it to be??! ahh! sighh. at least today i know that things are finalized and organized and i just need to wait for tmrw. however, i can sleep peacefully tonight now :) hehe. hopefully all turns out well! *hyperventilates* heh. hence i need your support, ppl! :D *hinthelpstudentshint*

on a lighter note, i was reminded of my 07' resolutions- the ones i made early this year with azy. hrmm, i've not fulfilled mine! hahaha. well, maybe partially but not fully. *thinks hard*

1. learn to speak in mandarin- i prolly know a few more words. and i know how to count till 100!
2. do well in college- hrmm, i cant really finalize that yet but so far, its been quite satisfying.
3. learn the bass/acoustic guitar- the bass? nope. barry's too busy and ken is in ozzie. the acoustic guitar? kinda. i know some chords! :D i would think i can play a song but very slowly. hahha. yea, i know im terrible at it. shrugs.
4. strengthen friendships- i've rekindled past friendships and im glad i did :) current ones, they're good :)

and i prolly have other resolutions but i'll keep em' to myself :) hehe. yupp yupp. and i do have in mind my 08's resolutions. haha. *laughs to self* hrmm. :p yeap yeap.

so yeah, it was my birthday too! :) my eighteenth. well, not that i feel older or some sort, or "yes, im finally legal" but it seemed pretty normal. i would say that this birthday has been the most memorable one i've ever had. :) yes, i spent it with lovely people, lovely friends, and receiving birthday wishes from unexpected individuals made me a happy girl. it was a different birthday compared to the past ones i've had though. and i definitely thank God for blessing me with this awesome birthday. :)

oh on thursday, i had lunch at the apartment with lydia and azy :) real sweet of them to spend me lunch! ahaks, yeah :) the desserts were really sinful i tell you. so chocolate-y and sweet! cos right, the interior of the apartment is really nice and cosy and cool, we decided to take pics of the lounge (upstairs) :) hahaha.

i had 2 surprises, or i would say 3 actually. :) but i'll just share about the 2 surprises i had! :) note that my birthday somehow lasted for 4-5 days. hahah! :D told you i'm blessed.

the first one was at tony roma's with my coll mates. they're awesome. :) those who were present: rachel, alexa, sara, daryll, jovy, kheng wei, jun, caryn, myself and one more who couldnt turn up :( but yeah, somehow, everyone couldnt make it and was only rachel, alexa, sara and myself. yes, it was a surprise. hahaha. at tony roma's, the waiter kinda bocor-ed the plan but alexa covered up real well. i would say that everyone did a good job in acting! hahaha. half way, the other bunch of ppl appeared behind us :) and they even got the other waiters to act in order to make the plan succeed! ;) we had fun :) food was awesome, fellowship was good. sadly, i couldnt join for twister after that. heh. but thank you all! :D

the second was just now! :) with my lifegroup. the old lifegroup, before the split. hahaha. we had it at italiannies and it was pretty amusing. hahaha. the amount of bocors there were made azy panic all the more! ahaks. and especially the hostess at italiannies >< *speaks with an indian accent* "to go inside, you have to wait for 22-30 minutes". haha! poor azy. sorry, erm inside joke. heh. but it was really sweet and thoughtful of barry to organize such a surprise. :) oh btw, it was not only my surprise but darren's as well! :) those who turned up: barry, serene, salby, joel, sophie, wei chin, azy, ian, lydia, darren and myself. others like brian, jan, karl and paul couldnt make it :( sad, but oh well. haha, i loved the birthday cake- choc indulgence by secret recipe! :D rawrr! ;p yeah. hrmm, food was good. im pretty bloated till now! there was pasta and more pasta left. haha. :) i am blessed, like really! love my lg! :D and no, not cos of the surprise they had but cos i've been really blessed throughout the times i had in ccsm, in my lg :)

after everything, we had a surprise for sara since its HER birthday! :) tried to lure her out but she was so stubborn. haha. even if we did, our plans didnt work out. hahaha. anyways, we managed to get her to the cake and guess what? she BROKE the knife while cutting the cake. hahahaha. :D how cute. she looked like a fairy godmother, cos she was given a bouquet of sunflowers (she loves em'), a tiara (those kid's toy kind) and a wand. hahaha! bet she had fun :) sara so funnay! :p

i went for atul's open hse last night and i had fun. :) met old school mates and surprisingly, i met azlan. yeah, its been ages huh :) anyways, it was just makan-ing and catching up time. only spent abt 1 and a half hours there so yupp :)

yeah, just came back from youth and i had fun :) despite the oh-so-annoying mosquito bites. bleh. but yeah! it was pastor steven's bday! he's 52! heheh. he seems to be really enjoying himself, so it a good thing! :D

went to kim's place today to complete our psyche assignment. we're supposed to do an intensive research and present a seminar-like talk on porn addictions to the class. yeah, haha!

the very first thing that really shocked me today was that jon fetched michelle and i at 7.30 am when he said he was coming at 8 something!! omg, its so early and super unlike jon. :p i wasn't awake yet and when he called, he said, "sarah, where's your hse? im near michelle's hse". and note that her hse is just behind mine. in kl, we couldn't find federal hotel's parking and so we had to make 3 rounds around low yat and jon so didnt believe me abt the parking when i was right all along. *shakes head*

by the time we reached kim's room, it was about 8.30 and they weren't awake yet! ahaha. cos they occupy like three rooms, michelle decided to ring all three bells. hahah. and yes, they woke up! :) anyways, we went to have breakfast till about 10 and only to start work after that. at 12.30, we went to swim!! hahah, which was our most exciting activity :p nono, doing the research was fun too :) hehe. and we completed like 3 quarter, so it isnt that bad! :)

down memory lane.

jo, el, fau, fuzzy and i went back to hartamas yesterday to visit mr.yew as he was gonna be retiring today. mann, the school has changed SO much since i last visited (that was when i collected my spm results). yeah, the office looks so much better i guess? more high tech, and just professional-looking. haha. and also, there is a stage!! omg, a stage. haha. so instead of standing at the balcony for ikrar and stuff, they stand on the stage. instead of the small "stage" made of broken chairs, its a proper concrete stage! WOW! seriously, all of us were shocked big time! not only that, hartamas has a tennis court!!! my oh my, the students now are indeed priviledged. there's also proper netball rims, the tiang thingy. wow, really. i wouldnt know if there are other major changes other than the shade thingy outside school but for now, its still a wow. haha.

all of us felt very nostalgic as we walked back into school, all the memories. anyways, we took some pics to show that we went to school! ;p haha!
