choinese new year.

A friend used to scream his head out saying, "Choineseeeee". Well, that was some 5 years back in highschool? Brrh I feel old, haha.

"Pikchaa, pikchaa!" My aunts are ace at screaming that word out while gambling, hah. As I mentioned in the earlier post about having heaps of pictures taken this new year, I'll be faithful to pick out shot(s) that I think are pretty enough to be posted here and the rest will, as usual, be up in Facebook for my cousins' benefit. This year, family ties seem a little more huddled up together and toight unlike the years before - I'm enjoyin' it, most definitely!

I've been sticking myself to the computer screen watching the new 90210 almost every day now, haha! Hmm, it seems to be trashing Gossip Girl a wee bit in my download sequence. Well maybe because I downloaded the wrong episode 16 this time around which totally dampened my spirit, pfft. Anyhoo, 90210 on the go!

Itsy bitsy thing about 90210 - the girls seem a little too anorexic for my liking and I sense a bit of The O.C. rip off going on somewhere along the episodes, hmm. But I'm definitely a fan of Silver's, I like the rough touch to her personality and plus, she's really pretty. Ethan's pretty attractive too (think geeky/nerdy Seth Cohen, yes?)! Honestly, come to think about it, I'm starting to not like the whole highschool scene anymore be it in The O.C., GG or even 90210.

Goodnight world, taa!

posaa in the house.

Somehow both my niece and nephew, Julieann & Jamie, seem to be rather hyper active than usual this new year. With my camera phone in hand, I couldn't help but to snap away at their adorable gestures and poses that were being thrown about. This year, things seem more lively than normal, which is of course, a very good thing! The UK cousin is finally back, bringing all that joker-self and hype home. Yes, he is the cousin who drew moustache on cats & dogs with a permanent marker pen some 10 years back and also the one who makes both cats and dogs dance and act out silly things, haha.

Out of the many pictures that were taken, I shall just share a little collage of my nephew :)

When Jamie meets the Bearista;

Ain't he the most adorable sweetie? :)
Note: He's such a posaaa!
He'll check the photo after taking one and see if it's nice, haha.
And will go back and pose again..

it's a girl thing.

Today in history, we learn that even I can lose my voice, hah! Can you beat that? It hurts btw so yeah, pfft. Sadly it has been getting worst by the day. Too pain, too pain.

Okay anyway, for the past two days, I've been spending much time with my girls :) I mean after all, they deserve my time since they're all gonna be leaving soon enough.

Rewind, rewind, to Sunday evening! We had dinner at Mohan's place since she's leaving tonight and yeah, we just needed to spend some time together, girly time. Initially thought of eating out but finally resorted to cooking in. We picked out nuggets, sausages, fries, pasta and bacon! The oil and the carbs, haha. Then again, the best tasting food are always sinful; all that oil, fats (bacon fats, yumm!), sugar and it just goes on. It's all fat-provoking food, haha. We obviously found out who the cooks were and who weren't, ahaks! *grin* But the food were really good, hee! Though we kinda over-estimated the food amount. :p Having food over bonding time was plain awesome alright!

Non cooks: Lyds & Azy.
Cooks: Mohan & Sarah.
Haha, but they helped out a lot!
Like defrosting the nuggets..
And dropping the spaghetti :D

Yay, pretty! :)

And hohoho, Monday's bubble fun! Headed over to The Curve after lunch to meet up with Sara, Alexa and Rachel. To my surprise, Daryll was there too, haha. Not so much of a girl thing anymore, huh? ;) We pretty much stocked up on some bottles of bubble liquid as well as a whole box of that goo thingy that you can blow up your own bubble through the little straw. Reminiscing the childhood days much? We went up to the rooftop of Cineleisure to play bubbles. Yeah, we got a few glares and stares but it didn't really bug us much :) It was fun, really fun. We even had some Titanic moments there, hee. A little late lunch after and that pretty much concluded our day. There are more pics but my dear Alexa hasn't sent 'em over yet :)

Its like a disco ball :)

Sara being.. Sara.

The NYC laydee! :)
Random bit: I'm so gonna get an INY shirt, haha.

Bubbles! Just keep blowing!

Can you see 'em? 8)

Broadway style!
And I am wearing shorts. There! *points*

Camel!

Hehehehe ;)

Just today, Azalea, Lyds and myself went to Sungai Wang to do some shopping but depressingly, we found nothing. Okay I found a dress but I guess it wasn't really a good buy so yeah I didn't get it. But Lyds got a pair of pretty ballet flats :) Really pretty! Hee. Ah, not forgetting, we went on a DVD shopping spree, haha. Now I've stocked up on the movies to watch when the assignments hasn't kicked in yet. Hehe.

Oh, I got like two results back 'cos the other three are only coming out on Monday, pfft. I guess it's average, heh. Not good at all but just satisfactory. :) Though this makes me worry all the more for my other three papers, ahhhh! It was that bad okay, soigh.

Ozzie cousins just left for home. Gonna miss the noise and stuff but yeah, we've got Facebook, haha! Ain't that bad I guess :) Real good to have 'em back! Anyway, I gotta head to bed now, goodnight all!

p/s: Bye Mohannnnn! Will miss you hun :)

come and go.

Youth Camp 2008: This Is Now.

I went to camp expecting God to move and sure enough He did - more than I expected. I guess He really made clear about the direction I'm heading towards in 2009. Initially it wasn't and isn't what I intended it to be but at times like these, you just need to shut up and follow His footsteps obediently, ain't it? I never prayed as much as I did in camp before. I never seeked God like how I did in camp. It was just different. I was never this hungry for His touch. In this camp, I experienced it all. God was extremely real in my life. Throughout camp, He taught me one thing and that is to continue persevering even when things get ugly. I mean life hasn't been easy for me since the start of this year and I gotta admit, I'm getting goosebumps just by thinking about how next year is gonna go but I believe it's all gonna be alright with God on my side. Happy thoughts ahead!

It was a totally different experience this year for me in camp as well. I mean assuming various responsibilities and ensuring that camp goes along well isn't easy and very tiring. It was totally worrysome when the number of campers weren't touching 250 at all. This is just one of the aspects but yeah, I know that God worked wonders in this year's camp and I'm absolutely certain that all who went were tremendously blessed!

On a lighter note, experiencing camp with loved ones are total plus points. I mean having all my favorite girlfriends back from overseas has continuously lifted up my dampened spirit. They have been nothing short of gorgeous blessings. It was even better when the seven of us were somewhat 'reunited' after a long break on the second night of camp! Sweet love, huns.

Peanut butter-fied.

Heee!

:)

Lovelies!

Candid laughter.

Seven of us!

Girlfriends.

 My LG :)

Taraaaa!

We cool alright.

Whoooosh!

Doong is love!

We're at the beaaach!

And here we move on to family love! My Ozzie cousins have finally came back after two solid years of absence. Just in two years, they have both grown up so big (like literally big) and seriously, so matured! I mean they were mere little kiddos before this and now, woah! Hee, I was very shocked. I guess I'm no longer the taller cousin in my generation just because they're still young but yeah, haha. Darn, why didn't I get these tall genes? Pfft. Albeit awkward on the first day of their arrival (yesterday), we got on well this morning and hey, more days ahead to rekindle that cousin love.

Well we celebrated Christmas early this year because many of them couldn't make it on Christmas day itself so dinner was today. My aunt got us turkey! It's a first in our family to have turkey, seriously! Turkey and tong yuen (since the celebration was just 2 days ago)! Hehehe, yummy flour-y dessert by the grandmother. Seeing all the kiddos grow up, I feel rather old myself! Haha.

Nephew & Uncle.

Sulky pot.
Reason: Ate too much and mommy took his food away.

Emma!

Two partially complete generations.

And yay, I'm done with my Christmas shopping, haha. But it's a very tiny list this year due to financial constrains and the current economy crisis. I'm serious, it's that bad on me okay. So yeah, don't expect anything much from me or rather anything at all, heh. I'm keeping muh budget minimal this year so don't get offended anyhow :) But yeah, Christmas isn't all about presents, hee :)

Wondering how did The Fleur De Lis go? :) I think it went well. I mean yeah from a shopper's view, hee. I splurged my way throughout the three days and hehe, I'm pretty satisfied with my purchases! :D Absolutely loving my new found clothes, wahahah. But on the other hand, from an organizer's view, some vendors or rather, a vendor can really be downright stupid. Seriously, pfft! At least my clothes make me happy so it's all good, thankfully! Hee *grin*

We both look really chan and tired out huh.

Anyways, here's some belated shout-outs! -

Blessed Nineteenth Birthday, Johann!

Excuse me mister, we still haven't gone out yet!
What happened to all our catching up sessions huh?
Hehe. I tried calling you yesterday but I couldn't get
through at all. Really! It's not an excuse alright, hee.
Hope you had a blast on your special day :)
Don't get too naughty alright, do keep some sanity in
that now nineteen year old head of yours *grin*

::

Blessed TWENTY-SECOND Birthday, Brian!

Notice the emphasis on the age? Hehe. I kid I kid.
I'm still all fondue-fied from the lunch but hey it was
all good! I'm sure you had much fun, no? :) Thanks
for being that whacko friend throughout, hee.
Anyhow, here's to a great year ahead of you!
Big boy ady la, hahah. Happy Hatchday again!
Twenty-two! *cough* Heee!

half indian.

I partially am a Punjabi :) Add a 'Kaur' to my name, ya'll.

Unlike many people, I grew exceptionally close to my baby-sitter ever since young. I mean whaddya' expect? I was with them since I was about a year old until I was seven. All my infant years and part of my childhood years were with them. My baby-sitter is like my second mom. Her family is my family. I grew to love them more and more each day. Right up till today, my love for them still stands strong. Through time, our thick and thin, we still end up together, just like a family.

She's my lovely baby-sitter!
Love her to bits!

I do make an effort to see them whenever I am able to. But seeing them often ends up about once or twice each year. Rather heart-breaking but I thank God that I was able to make it more frequent this time around. Taking a glance at the past, it's almost 18 years since I first met them and somehow, nothing ever separates us right up till today. When I'm with them, I feel like a little girl all over again. I feel so loved and appreciated. It's like I'm one of the best things that has ever happened to them. 'Cos they definitely are one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Ever.

"Let's take with the flower!"
Hee :)

Almost the (my) whole family :)

Speaking of which, I just came back from a Deepavali dinner with them! It was good, it was really good. It was just so good to see all of them, just like the good ol' days. The tight bear hugs and kisses, we're sucha family. Though I didn't manage to meet up with all of them, it was still good enough. Jan & his sis got a little bored but I'm still thankful they accompanied me :) Thus ended a good night.

I definitely am more than thankful to God for making me a part of such an awesome family :) Well, I'm off for the night, so goodnight everyone!

ohana.

As some of you would know or recall, my cousin and I found a kitten around the neighbourhood and decided to give it shelter. He grew and grew and ended up a big cat. Yea, he was quite a pig in terms of food. Too naughty, extremely playful and superbly adorable. Yupyup, that's Bob! I've always loved the name Bob anyway.

Day one, after bathing him :)

He loved being in paper bags.
Once, I carried him around the house in the bag, hee!

Not even a year and just this morning,
Bob died.

And I miss him :(
Ohana; yea, he's family!

P/s: I tried uploading a video of Bob being Spiderman but it took too long so I gave up..

back on, baby.

Hello beautiful world! Yes I finally feel as though I am finally 'back in the right world' where tech rules big time. Geek much? It's all about influence, babes, really. Ahaks!
.
Anyway, I foresee this to be a superbly long post where I'll need to cover some three events or such. So hang in there! I promise there'll be pictures to lighten the 'typo-overloads'. Hehe :)
.
First up, updates from the *click Shirts4Real Launch click* at Positive Cafe!

Pretty, no? ;) Orders are welcomed!
.

Alright I really enjoyed it, the launch and totally loved Mia Palencia's performance. Her voice is simply lovely and her songs are so witty and awesome! I'd really love to watch her perform again. :) There was about an odd number of about 70+ people who were present. The seats weren't enough so some had to stand but nevertheless it was good :) There was fun-filled lucky draws and yummy food! Hehehe, what's a launch without food? Rawwr. The lucky draw gifts were pretty appealing! Well, there were many interesting faces there too! Trust me, I had fun :) Boo all you who didn't come la, hee. It was a very very long day for the S4R crew 'cos there was heaps of things to do before, during and after the event but it was all good :) Oh and Arthur came :D Yea, he was the photographer! So sweet of him to drop by. Haha. :)

Peeh-pol aka people ><

Mia Palencia, people!

With Esther behind the counter :)

The founders - Brian & Jan, with their opening speech!

The guys and Mia.

:)

Yay, the crew! Kinda =p

The cute paper bags! Your very own light bulb box/bag that's worth keepin' :)
.

I met up with Jo and Emmanuel the very next day 'cos Jo was gonna leave to UK. We finally managed to meet up, just the three of us, without any hindrances! Haha, it was a real tough plan to have though. It was a little awkward 'cos of how long we didn't meet up but it was a good catch up. Haha it's so funny talking about our future and comparing it to how things were back in high school. Miss those high school days, heh.

Also, I went for El's birthday :) Yeah that's why I couldn't make it for Ben's annual lantern party. Hee, sorry. But yea it was all good 'cos I met up with my other high school mates over yummy buka puasa food. Ahaks, we watched the MU-Liverpool match as well. :) All of us there were split into two different tables where the MU fans were at one side and the Liverpool fans sat at the other side. Haha, we had two big screens to entertain us :)

Told you we were ready for the match! Haha.

With Jo & Pri :)

Ellie! :)
Aww, they're in a couple seat! :)
With Fau.

Moving on to the lantern festival! I spent it at home with the family and I really had fun. It was awesome playing around with the nephew and niece. Haha, yes the cute ones :) Even the adults played along too! They were more excited than us, the younger generation, hehe. Not to forget they were so clumsy that most of them ended up burning one or two of those pretty paper lanterns and making a big huha out of it. Haha, adults. My cousin and I had fun reliving our childhood days just the same way my nephew and niece were living theirs. Hehe. My little nephew went a little crazy and starting running in circles. So adorable huh? ;) Haha. If you wanna see his video, just let me know la. I'm not gonna upload it cos I'm too lazy. :D

In the mood yet? :)
Hee!
His Ultraman -
He couldn't pronounce all 3 syllables so it bacame;

It was so emo throughout that I couldn't help but cry. I really felt them, okay. Haha. Call me silly but I lovelovelove The OC. :) Hehe, anyone can identify this love with me? ;)
